Biography

Marjorie Dangla LCSW, MSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping others by integrating a culturally sensitive, mindful, and holistic practice approach to the treatment of individuals from various ethnic groups in need of services. She is bilingual in both English & Spanish. Marjorie studied at Florida International University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Criminal Justice. She then pursued her Master's of Social Work, with a specialization in Addictions. She has more than 15 years of experience helping adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations at institutions such as Nicklaus Children's Hospital, Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami Hospital, dialysis centers throughout the community, and private practice behavior therapy. She has experience providing therapeutic services to Individuals, Families, & Couples using Evidence-Based Practice interventions geared to optimize a balanced, yet structured treatment outcome catered to client/patient needs. Ultimately by empowering individuals to achieve a more positive, balanced, and healthy lifestyle.  She joined our Movement Disorder's Department of Neurology in August 2024, and is assisting our patient’s with Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Atypical Parkinsonism, Ataxia and Functional Movement Disorders. Her hobbies include activities like running, yoga, spinning, and traveling.
