Biography

Claudia Cano FMG, RN, FNP is a dedicated healthcare professional with a rich and diverse background. Originally from Peru, she earned her medical doctorate in Mexico in 1996.Claudia furthered her education by obtaining a registered nurse license and a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Between 2008 and2014, she served as a House Physician, gaining invaluable clinical experience. With over a decade of expertise in the research field, Claudia joined the University of Miami’s Department of Neurology and Movement Disorders Division in 2019. Since 2022, she has held the position of Clinical Research Nurse. In her current role, Claudia oversees and conducts clinical trials for patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD), Huntington’s disease (HD), Rapid Onset Dystonia Parkinsonism (RDP), and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). She is deeply committed to patient safety and well-being, and her strong teamwork skills enable her to collaborate effectively with neurologists and colleagues. Claudia adheres to study protocols and regulatory guidelines, ensuring the highest standards in clinical trial management and patient outreach
